My Story

My Start

In 1992, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) was in its infancy. The internet did not exist. Many businesses relied heavily on manual efforts to manage their sales processes. A rolodex was a real thing and potential clients would actually answer the phone. Marketing was all advertising and trade shows. I was a young inside sales person starting my career in what would soon be one of the most exiting times in consumer electronics history - the launch of 18" satellite TV. I excelled corporately as a result of my ability to apply new technology and process to solve complex problems in a hyper-growth sales environment. My business purpose was clear.

Alternetics

Alternetics launched in 1999 as a premier provider of CRM technology, stepping in to help organizations bridge the gap between traditional sales methods and emerging technologies. I continued to grow, learn, and evolve through the integration of technology in sales process. I was living the cliche "Do something you love and never work a day in your life".

Growing With the Industry

As Alternetics partnered with more clients, our technology portfolio and expertise rapidly expanded - as did our headcount. We navigated the rise of major platforms, achieving certifications and supporting clients across Salesforce.com, Microsoft CRM, SageCRM, and others. Alternetics was purchased by a private equity firm in 2013, completing the typical journey most entrepreneurs dream of experiencing.

Today

Nearly 25 years later, I realized I liked working with clients more than I liked growing Alternetics and jumped back in. My business goal now is to stay young through the excitement of finding new technology and process; stay relevant by sharing those findings and watching them work; and stay excited by living vicariously as an active team member in my clients growth.

And When Not Working

When I am not head first helping clients win, I enjoy traveling with my wife of almost 40 years, reading, boating, driving tractors, any activity outdoors, and spoiling my 3 beautiful granddaughters. I am also working to publish at least one book to document and share what I have learned and been fortunate to experience in my 40 years as a student of business growth. So stay tuned!
