Mergers and acquisitions are great ways to double revenue overnight. The miracle would be to merge with another organization using the same systems and processes as you are. Of course that never happens; so, what often gets overlooked is that infrastructure also doubles.
A client who had recently done a number of acquisitions was facing this exact challenge. Their order entry team doubled as a result of an acquisition. And, to complicate matters, the operations were now in two different states. One team used Salesforce and the other used SalesLogix. Having to switch between disparate systems was both time consuming and frustrating to the team.
They approached Alternetics to find a solution.
The client chose Salesforce as their global CRM. Our work was to ensure the functionality in SalesLogix was replicated in Salesforce as well as move the existing SalesLogix data into Salesforce.
In less than 4 weeks, our Salesforce Consulting Team created and executed the solution. With literally no interruption of work for the Order Entry Department, we migrated over 10 years of SalesLogix orders, contracts, accounts and contacts. Alternetics followed through by conducting user training for the new users of Salesforce. In addition, we provided post-migration support to ensure all previous SalesLogix users were able to do their work efficiently and effectively on their new Salesforce platform.
Alternetics helped to remove an obstacle that threatened the payoff to our client of growing through acquisition. Seamlessly, we were able to bring together two teams serving the same function in disparate ways. Now, those teams are unified in their processes and now represent the same company in different locations.
